    Not Launching

    A friend of mine has downloaded the most current version and has it installed, the problem he is having is when he goes to launch it, he keeps getting a Error message saying that his Open GL is not valid and that he needs a Open GL 2.0 or higher, do you have any suggestions.

    Assuming your friend has DirectX10 (or newer) updated for their system, they can set this environment variable to switch from trying to use OpenGL to using DirectX:

    QT_OPENGL=angle

    Hope that helps!

    Unsure if he does or not, but then again I told him to throw his puter out the window a long time ago and get one from this century, but I will relay the message and let you know what happens, He has Windows Vista and he has DirectX 11 on his puter, can you please explain how I can have him change his Variables so that he can get it to work.Screenshot_105.png

    Sure -

    Right-click on My Computer
    Go to Properties
    Click on Environment variables (in Windows 7, it's Advanced system settings first)
    Click on New...
    Enter QT_OPENGL in the name
    Enter angle in the value
    Click OK
    Click OK
    Start C3

    Hmm... the error message shouldn't be the same, though it may still be experiencing an error trying to load a compatible DirectX version.

    If it is the same message, it's possible that the related libraries aren't getting read from the program directory. Can you make sure that the files that were listed in the original message (libEGL.dll, libGLESv2.dll, d3d_compiler47.dll) are in that directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\Vivox\C3 by default)?
